Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using JobForge ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including administrators, employees, and any other persons who access or use the Service.

Description of Service

JobForge is a comprehensive job management platform designed for cabinetmakers and woodworking professionals. The Service includes:

  • Client and project management
  • Quote and invoice generation
  • Timeline and scheduling tools
  • Team management and capacity planning
  • File management and 3D model viewing
  • Cabinet design, cut lists, nesting, and CNC/G-code output
  • Integration with QuickBooks Online
  • Time tracking and punch clock features
  • Custom forms and workflows

Account Registration

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Ensuring your account information is accurate and up-to-date

Account Types

JobForge offers different user roles:

  • ADMIN: Full access to all features and settings
  • EMPLOYEE: Limited access based on permissions

Acceptable Use

You May:

  • Use the Service for legitimate business purposes
  • Store and manage your business data
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Integrate with supported third-party services (e.g., QuickBooks)

You May NOT:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without authorization
  • Resell or redistribute the Service
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the Service

Accuracy of Outputs and Your Responsibility to Verify

The Service generates and displays outputs such as quotes, pricing, estimates, measurements, cabinet designs, 3D models, cut lists, nesting layouts, bills of material, hardware lists, and manufacturing files (including DXF and CNC/G-code). These outputs are provided as tools and aids to assist your professional judgment only.

You are solely responsible for independently reviewing, verifying, and validating every output before relying on it, ordering materials, cutting or machining any material, quoting a client, or manufacturing any product.Do not send G-code or manufacturing files to any machine, or commit materials or money, without first confirming that the output is correct for your specific tooling, materials, machines, and project requirements.

We do not warrant that any generated output is accurate, complete, error-free, or fit for manufacturing or any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobForge is not responsible or liable for any wasted material, scrapped parts, machine damage, mis-cut or mis-manufactured products, incorrect quotes or pricing, lost profits, or other losses arising from your reliance on any output of the Service. Verification is your responsibility.

QuickBooks Integration

Authorization

When you connect QuickBooks Online to JobForge, you authorize us to:

  • Access your QuickBooks account using OAuth 2.0
  • Read and write data according to your sync settings
  • Store encrypted OAuth tokens securely
  • Synchronize data between JobForge and QuickBooks

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have authority to connect the QuickBooks account
  • Configuring sync settings appropriately
  • Reviewing and resolving sync conflicts
  • Maintaining accurate data in both systems

Disconnection

You may disconnect QuickBooks at any time through Settings → Integrations. Disconnecting will revoke access tokens but will not delete data from either JobForge or QuickBooks.

Third-Party Terms

Your use of QuickBooks Online is subject to Intuit's Terms of Service: intuit.com/legal

Your Content and Data

Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to your content and data. JobForge does not claim ownership of any data you upload, create, or store in the Service.

License to JobForge

By using the Service, you grant JobForge a limited, non-exclusive license to:

  • Store and process your data to provide the Service
  • Display your content within the Service
  • Create backups for disaster recovery
  • Use anonymized, aggregated data for analytics and improvements

Data Backup

We maintain regular backups of the platform for disaster-recovery purposes. However, we do not guarantee against all loss or corruption of data, and we are not responsible for maintaining archival copies on your behalf. Where the Service allows you to export or download documents (such as quotes, invoices, and PDFs), we encourage you to retain your own copies of records that are critical to your business.

Data Deletion

If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes).

Intellectual Property

JobForge Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and trademarks, is owned by JobForge and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Limited License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your business purposes.

Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the Service
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices
  • Use JobForge trademarks without permission

Fees and Payment

Subscription Plans

JobForge offers various subscription plans with different features and pricing. Current pricing is available on our website.

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance (monthly or annually)
  • Payment is due on the billing date
  • Accepted payment methods: credit card, debit card
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law

Price Changes

We may change prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes apply to new billing cycles after the notice period.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial periods.

Service Availability

Uptime

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Emergency repairs
  • Third-party service outages
  • Force majeure events

Maintenance

We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice when possible. Emergency maintenance may occur without notice.

Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time through account settings or by contacting support.

Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • Your account is inactive for an extended period
  • Payment fails and is not resolved
  • We're required to do so by law
  • Continuing service would create security or legal risks

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service is immediately revoked
  • You may export your data within 30 days
  • We will delete your data after 30 days
  • No refunds for prepaid periods

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

AS-IS Service

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

No Warranty

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • Results or outputs obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Service will meet your requirements

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOBFORGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, WASTED MATERIALS, LOST OR SPOILED WORK, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY OUTPUT OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Exceptions

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on warranties or liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JobForge, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Your content or data

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Venue

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in the Province of British Columbia, Canada.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via:

  • Email notification
  • In-app notification
  • Notice on the website

When we make material changes, you may be required to review and accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and JobForge regarding the Service.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or internet service provider failures.
